The end of every UC Davis fall quarter is often marked by excitement for the break and the anticipation for what the new year will bring. We’re officially two weeks into winter quarter and with midterms just around the corner, it’s time to check out the Mondavi Center for the Performing Arts’ 2009-2010 season lineup before the quarter kicks up and tickets sell out.

Who to Watch: Bridget Bugbee is coming off of success at the Texas Invite. Her 10th place finish at the invitational was just one reason the women’s swimming team placed ninth amongst national competitors.

Haylee Donaghe isn’t like most student athletes. While most spend four years at UC Davis, Donaghe is in year six, now completing her master’s in exercise biology. It hasn’t been as easy as it seems for the Atascadero, Calif. native as three-season ending injuries have prolonged her stay.

Who to watch: Kendall McCann won the individual all-around against Seattle Pacific last year with a career-high score of 38.300.

For most of today’s music listeners, the words “classical” and “guitar” probably do not sound like they belong in the same sentence.

Who to watch: No. 13 junior heavyweight Ricky Alcala was one of the few bright spots for the Aggies last weekend at the Virginia duals. The Arvin, Calif. native went 3-0 for UC Davis, including a pin against Bucknell’s Connor Sweeney.
