As part of the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Flood Map Modernization Program, new flood zone maps will take effect in Yolo County on June 18. Originally issued in Dec. 2008, the new flood zone maps have significantly expanded the area of high-risk flood zones within the county.
